A short walk from my hotel in Colaba was Kailash Parbat, a restaurant that Saucy had been going to since he was a kid. I made it a stop for a few Sindhi treats.

Sindh is in present day Pakistan. Here’s a wiki:


For breakfast I had dal pakwan, a crispy bread with a thick dal. (Sorry about the photos, as I mentioned I tend to eschew flash.)


And here’s a koki (at KP, a tender stuffed bread) with yogurt. I ate this slathered with a hot, sweet lime pickle.


I tried on four occasions to sample the Sindhi curry but sadly it was never available.
